First Communion and the Blessed Sacrament

I have many nice items on eCrater and eBay for your RCIA and First Communion shopping. The link for my eCrater store is at the bottom of this page (the banner) and my eBay listings are here.

I have several First Communion rosaries, black glass, ecru glass pearl, and silver-plated metal beads. My special RCIA ladies rosary features pink glass beads, Holy Spirit medal, baptismal shell Our Fathers and Communion center.

There are some great Communion prayers and devotions here:

I have a great Preparation for Holy Communion chaplet, I would recommend it especially for the home bound. A new Blessed Sacrament chaplet will be available soon as well- traditional large medal and Job's tears just like a vintage one.

Have a holy and fruitful Lent!

new feature

I will try to feature a different item for sale or devotion each day. Maybe you will learn something or find a new devotion to help you in your walk with God.

Today is a very popular rosary design, St. Therese rosary center featuring soil relic from her grave. I use a variety of beads and crucifixes, but the small silver rosebud seems to be the most popular for this rosary.

A great article for further reference is: Therese wiki

There are many useful links in the wiki.
God bless, Lisa

Sister Sunday, new twitter idea

I want to use my twitter account on Sundays to let people know about the plight of nuns here in the US today.

Basically, the nuns who have been faithful to the Vatican guidelines and their founders have gotten vocations, the ones who have gone off on feminist, new age, or other strange directions have not gotten new members and are dying out. The more time has gone on since the 1970s has borne this out. There are many new wonderful orders that I want to spotlight, many resources for those who are discerning a vocation to the vowed life too. I prefer to concentrate on the positive, but will include links and info to show some things that are still happening today that are very sad.

The sad evidence:
The number of nuns nationwide has plummeted from nearly 180,000 in 1965 to fewer than 62,000 in 2008, according to the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. That 66 percent decline is more than double the 31 percent drop in the number of priests during the same time period.

The average nun in the United States is in her mid-70s, said Mary Gautier, a senior research associate with the center."
"There can be good reasons for the church to conduct a study of its nuns. Their numbers are declining fast. Their communities are shrinking." Quote from Chicago Times reporter's article.

More links on books about the sad state of many nuns and convents in the US will be posted here soon.
Pray for nuns and for new vocations, that the sound of Christ's call will be heard over the voice of the world in many generous hearts willing to give themselves for Love.

Obama at Notre Dame related tweets part 5 Silent no more

Silent no more: witness and results on twitter so far.
After all the speech, I felt called to give my own personal witness on Twitter:

the time has come to say this: I am silent no more, I regret my abortion. I was not Catholic at the time Our Lady of Guadalupe converted me. from Power Twitter

Several of my twitter friends re-tweeted as I asked.
an example
RT @PatriceEgging @immac_rosaries God will use your witness to His Glory.

True, thanks for the RT and God bless you!

But where the Holy Spirit and the Culture of Life are present, so is the Culture of Death and its followers.

RT @Bakari45 @immac_rosaries Great, so dont have another abortion. And dont stand in the way of someone elses right to have one.

@Bakari45 is perfect illustration of what the Culture of Death thinks and how they treat those who defend the Culture of Life

@Bakari45 should read Margaret Sanger (founder of "Planned Parenthood") in her own words
@immac_rosaries Not sure what you're saying. What's your point?
Sanger was eugenicist saying the genetic makeup of the poor and minorities was inferior Pivot of Civilization, by Margaret Sanger, 1922 p 80

@immac_rosaries So Lisa, if a woman gets an abortion when it's made illegal, should she be tried for murder?
@Bakari45 the preamble of the US Constitution "endowed by Creator w/ innalienable right to LIFE

@immac_rosaries So Lisa, if a woman gets an abortion when it's made illegal, should she be tried for murder?

@Bakari45 abortion is murder no matter if a government declares it legal or not

A nation that allows women to kill their children is a nation without hope in itself or hope in God

Our "modern" US culture in the last 100 years has promoted and allowed the murder of innocent children here and in other countries

@immac_rosaries Also, please explain to me how u make women have in-wanted babies? How do u force them to do it against their will
if a child is unwanted by its mother, it still has the right to live, and I am adopted myself, by the way @Bakari45

@immac_rosaries So when women have an abortion, should they be tried for murder? Answer the ?
@Bakari45 no, because our current govmt has not made murder of the unborn illegal

@immac_rosaries And finally, Lisa, do u think we need fascist laws to make women have un-wanted babies?
@Bakari45 the "fascists" are those who want to pressure women into abortion because they don't tell women the truth re their BABIES

women can't make an informed decision because they are not told re fetal development and the lasting phys and mental damage (to themselves) from abortion

God has infinite Mercy to forgive and heal all involved in abortion if they ask and believe. God=forgiveness&life Satan=guilt&death

@Bakari45 if you are "lifetime" photog, then why not produce sonograms of pre-born babies 4 their mothers as well?
@immac_rosaries What?
@immac_rosaries I don't have the equipment to do that.

@immac_rosaries If yur god doesn't want abortions, he should not have created human beings to procreat. None of us ask to b born.

@immac_rosaries If u make abortion illegal, u have to enforce the law with more laws.

@spencerb those who hate God hate those who love, respect, and serve Him. Satan hates nothing more than God-fearing men and women. God bless

RT @Teresamerica For Pro-lifers there is no compromising on abortion issue. Abortion is MURDER!!!!! The most innocent human beings.

tell the truth about what abortion is, what it does to the child, what it does to the mother, how many are performed how they are performed.

RT @HumanitarianMom the pro-choice movement only advocates the availability of 1 choice, abortion, so pro-abortion is logical deduction

http://www.abortionbreastca... Induced abortion before first term pregnancy increases the risk of breast cancer(Lancet, 2/22/86 p.436)

Only respect for life can be the foundation and guarantee of the most precious and essential goods of society, such as democracy and peace.

RT @CurtJester Dialogue takes a commitment to truth by both sides. This is why true dialogue is often impossible.

more from Bakari "The only solution is to stamp out religion and its bigoted deity. #rejectprop8 In support of #rejectprop8, I will photograph any gay wedding in Sacramento for free. @doubleokevin Don't let your patriotism to this country turn u into a slave. Power anywhere should never go unquestioned"

But yet Bakari is a slave to the current government and against anything they consider a thought crime, even honoring fallen vets on Memorial Day!
Obama is clearly this man's messiah, not God!

You are welcome to see this on twitter for yourself or re-post in a blog.

Obama at Notre Dame pt 4

"Fr. Jenkins" and Mr. Obama before Obama's speech, twitter posts I wrote before, durring, and after speech.
(Obama is urging courtesy and respect among those who "dialogue" about abortion.)

"courtesy and respect" What about those for the off-campus protesters who want to discuss human life???

courtesy and respect for the elderly, priests, nuns, and Norma McCovey who was once known only as Roe and now is for LIFE!!!

"advance US merciful work to halt disease" but promote the slaughter of unborn in the US and abroad

Beginning of Obama's speech:

obama to Fr. J "you said what i wanted to say, much more eloquently"

How appropriate that Obama's speech is durring the hour of Divine Mercy here
heard protestors yelling now
RT @americanpapist crowd is booing the protestors, who are being taken out. this is getting messy.

RT @americanpapist that was a pre-planned solution to protestors. students were informed to begin cheering if there were shouters.

begin cheering if there were shouters. We were told the same before Sarah Palin spoke at Asheville

Obama "violent extremism" not a surprise, see my earlier tweets re culture of life

i am not "firm" in my "principles", Mr. Obama "Audacity" is right, "hope" is not true Catholic hope

RT @americanpapist fight for what we consider right ... without demonizing those who are just as sure on the other side
RT @americanpapist obamas point with this story: if i change my website language re: abortion people will vote for me

so the administration and Notre Dame arrest those who want to make their "principles" known and diologue with them

Believe what Obama pormises and has followed through with, not what he says and writes

RT @americanpapist obamas point: we need fair minded words. (but those who speak these fair minded words have been ignored.)

RWE (right-wing extremists) love ALL children, born and unborn!

RT @JillStanek Srs in Grotto received standing o. Got photo of Fr Corapi. Obama meanwhile repeating old pseudo-pro-lifey-choicy soundbites

RT @americanpapist "those who agree with and respect me ... are an exemplar of what notre dame is about." Obama says (sadly, how true.)

RT @GregWillits "lets meet on common ground" which means, abortion is not going away on my watch so lets find things that bug both of us.

Obama says he's impressed with faith that inspires good works....

the spiritual war is exacly what Obama said, a battle for the "hearts and minds". But admits that he doesn't feel anyone is infalliable

RT @patrickmadrid Listening with revulsion to The Speech, so replete with empty blandishments and diabolical sweetness (as was Fr. Jenkins)

invoking the "golden rule"...what about applying that to the current holocaust of the unborn, from conception to viability??

now invoking "civil rights" What about rights for Christians, the unborn, RWEs and Catholics now.

RT @americanpapist i re-iterate that ive never seen obama look less happy

RT @CatholicMeme Obamas speech is over, dozens of people in upper decks r leaving, some of whom have a cross/baby feet artwork on them.

RT @johnnortonosv ND: Great is truth. It will prevail. Thats the Laetare Medal inscription.

RT @TaylorRMarshall When Obama compares the prolife debate to civil rights movement, he casts prolifers as the modern racist bad guys

Next installment, how a woman who is silent no more about her abortion is treated on twitter by a harasser.
